Amebiasis and typhoid fever are life-threatening tropical diseases that affect the human intestine and can lead to death. Both share a common transmission route and are prevalent in developing countries, particularly in regions with poor sanitation and hygiene. Consequently, concurrent infection is inevitable in such populations. This study investigates the transmission dynamics of amebiasis-typhoid co-infection by computing the reproduction number, stability, bifurcation, and sensitivity analyses. Simulation results further examine the impact of screening and treatment, showing that effective preventive measures, alongside adequate screening and treatment, are essential to control each disease and their co-infection.
