Volume 1, Issue 1, April 2022
On behalf of the Editorial Team and Reviewers, I am delighted to announce the publication of the inaugural issue of the African Scientific Reports (ASR) to the research community and the world at large. ASR, which is published by the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS), is peer-reviewed, open access, inter-and multidisciplinary scientific journal that is dedicated to expanding access to African research, increasing intra-African scientific collaboration, and building academic research capacity in Africa.
ASR came into existence after the first annual general meeting of NSPS, that was held in November 2021, where the members recommended that there is a need to expand or add to how Scientific research from the field of Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering are disseminated to the research world aside from the existing Journal of Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (JNSPS) which publishes research only in the field of physical sciences.
This maiden edition includes five (5) articles, majorly from Natural sciences. All papers submitted for publication in this first issue went through a rigorous peer review process from anonymous reviewers. This issue would be useful to researchers and practitioners working in the related areas and as well to the public interested in Natural sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering.
I hope you will agree that all articles are fine additions to the various fields to which they contribute.

Volume 1, Issue 2, August 2022
On behalf of the Editorial Board, I am pleased to announce the publication of the second issue in the first volume of African Scientific Reports (ASR). The promotion of this journal would not have been attainable without the significant contributions of the Editorial team and reviewers.
I wish to inform our readers that we have been able to secure the ISSN (Print) 2955-1625 and ISSN (Online) 2955-1617 for this journal. Due to this improvement, the journal has now been indexed in Crossref, and all articles would now have their corresponding DOIs. This would pave the ways for more indexing in reputable databases, which would help the general growth of the journal.
This issue includes articles from the areas of mathematical sciences, physics, chemistry and electrical engineering. The African Scientific Reports continues to seek to publish new research on all aspects of Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering.

Volume 1, Issue 3, December 2022
On behalf of the Editorial Board, I am happy to announce to you, the publication of the third issue in the first volume of African Scientific Reports (ASR). Without the important contributions of the Editorial staff and reviewers, the promotion of this journal would not have been possible.
This issue includes articles from the areas of physics, mathematical sciences, chemistry and health sciences. ASR is still working to publish fresh findings in all fields of Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering. The editorial team continues to put in a lot of effort to get ASR listed in some relevant databases.
I sincerely hope that the range of studies featured in this issue will interest you, and I eagerly await your comments towards the general improvement of ASR.

Volume 2, Issue 1, April 2023
On behalf of the editorial team, I am delighted to present to you, volume 2, issue 1 of the African Scientific Reports (ASR), which presents a new accomplishment in our mission to promote cutting-edge research and the sharing of knowledge across various disciplines.
This current edition includes 16 articles from different research areas of Geology, Statistics, Chemical science, Mathematics, Physics and Material science, Environmental management, and Radiography. In addition to representing the current trends and emerging topics in their respective fields, the articles exhibit creativity, depth, and methodological rigour.
The use of article numbers by ASR in place of the customary practice of continuous paging through the volume is introduced in this issue. This step allows us to set pagination as soon as a manuscript is accepted, which aids in maintaining a rapid and efficient production process.
I sincerely hope that you find this issue to be informative, stimulating and engaging, and we look forward to bringing you more cutting-edge research in the future.
